Should the show name be in the image?

Set it yourself. Podcast directories have their own text-legibility requirements, and generated lettering will not survive review or resizing. Phrase 7 leaves the space for it.

How do I test the result quickly?

Shrink it to a 55-pixel square and place it on both a white and a near-black background. If the silhouette still reads in both, the cover works.
